Mickey gifts Minnie a beautiful little canary in this comical Burt Gillett-directed short, but the birds chicks dont want to stay put. They flutter around the house, and Mickey causes all kinds of havoc trying to wrangle them back into their bird cage. He falls out the window trying to catch the last one, destroying Minnies greenhouse full of flowers in the process. You can find this great 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing as Mickey pulls himself up, surrounded by broken plant pot pieces, at about 5:55.

The paper used by Disney studios in the 1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity. The drawing is in very good condition, with only minor edge wear, handling marks, and light age-related toning, typical for a piece of this era.
